Cascade Fallout eBook Bruce Clarke
Having recently watched videos of folks hiking that part of the Pacific Crest Trail in good weather, and having been to ice caves, the Caacades, and glaciers, I would never want to be crashed in a storm like this..It was a short enough read that suspense didn't overwhelm. Lessons to be learned. Glad I read it today.

Cascade Fallout eBook Bruce Clarke Reviews
I decided to read Cascade fallout and loved it! Some of my favorite books are Hatchet, Harry Potter, Muddle Earth, etc. But Cascade Fallout by Bruce Clarke has to be the best!
It's about a teenage girl named Kelsey Howe, who crash lands in the Cascade Mountains during her flight to Montana with her brother Tommy, her Grandfather and her new friend Jake, also a teenager. Many people were injured and some killed. So Kelsey, Grandpa, Tommy, and Jake (now with a broken arm) have to get help before a huge snowstorm attacks. During her journey she learns more about herself than she could ever imagine. On the way she meets and makes new friends. If you like books about adventure, survival, and more, I highly recommend Cascade Fallout.
Cascade Fallout made me cry, laugh, and want to read it over and over! I suggest it for advanced elementary and middle school readers. But really anybody who enjoys action packed adventures will probably love it (I know I did).
I hope you decide to read Cascade Fallout, and if you do I hope you like it. And, I can't wait for the sequel!
There are many good books I have read but there is one that stands out the most! That book is Cascade Fallout!
This book is about a girl, Kelsey, her brother, Tommy, and their Grandpa, who are headed to a family cabin in Montana. Kelsey, not excided to go, is in for more than she bargained for. The plane ride wasn't much better than the car ride of whines and cries. Not too far into the plane ride, the plane crash lands in the Cascade Mountains. Stranded, with no way to contact anyone, Grandpa, Kelsey, Tommy, and a boy named Jake set off to try to find the nearest road to get help before the November snowstorm comes. The long journey is hard; there is sorrow, celebration and death. It wasn't just them who were cold, hungry, and scared; it was all the other survivors counting on them back at the camp. In the end what kept Kelsey going was a little baby who survived and was still fighting to survive.
Cascade fallout is one of my favorite books! It's exciting, but has humor to it. It had nail biting, jaw dropping action, and moments you tear up (I was bawling by the end of the book). It's a book that is hard to put down, and you finish within a few days. By the time it's finished you don't want it to end.
I've read lots of really good books in my lifetime such as all the Harry Potter books, Hatchet, and the Dark Hills Divide, but one of my definite favorites is Cascade Fallout by Bruce Clarke.
Normal teenager Kelsey Howe gets more than she bargained for when her small plane flight to Montana crashes in the rugged Cascade Mountains of Western Washington. After the plane crashes, she, her brother Tommy, their new found friend Jake, and Kelsey's grandpa try to find a road before a snow storm hits. To save them all Kelsey needs to find all the courage and strength within her.
One of the reasons I really like this book is because there is something in it for everyone. There is suspense when they have to find a road before the storm hits. There is sadness (not giving example in case of spoiler) and there is action such as when they have to climb a wall by pressing their back's up against one side and putting their feet up against another.
Another reason I really like Cascade Fallout is because it is a survival adventure story that is exciting because I really like survival books. They have adventure and suspense because you don't have any idea what's going to happen next. Such as if someone gets a broken leg that cold be fatal in the wilderness so you don't know what's going to happen to them.
I recommend Cascade fallout by Bruce Clarke for advanced elementary kids and middle school kids. Over all it was an awesome book!!
Cascade Fallout is an inspiring and influential story for adventure fans of all ages. As a 22-year old, who grew up immersed in the works of Gary Paulsen and Jack London, I found this novel captivating. It follows the journey of Flight 116, a small plane that takes off through the Cascade Mountains - but never makes it to the other side. Kelsey, an endearing teenager travelling with her younger brother and grandfather, must find her courage and sense of leadership as she leads a small party through the harsh, mountainous conditions in search of help.
I was immediately drawn to the main character, Kelsey, who the author describes with such perception and sincerity I felt as though I already knew her. The character development is done in such a way that I felt an inescapable connection to the passengers of Flight 116, and experienced a wide range of emotions as I travelled through the Cascades alongside Kelsey and her heroic companions. From excitement and bravery, to fear and heartache, Cascade Fallout is a whirlwind adventure that will instill a sense of determination and adventure in young readers.
I would highly recommend this book to kids as young as the age 8. It is a beautiful story for parents to read with their children - neither of you will want to put the book down!
Fast easy read. The way those kids persevered through a lot of hardship gives you hope for the younger generations.
Having recently watched videos of folks hiking that part of the Pacific Crest Trail in good weather, and having been to ice caves, the Caacades, and glaciers, I would never want to be crashed in a storm like this..
